Ketan Mehta can finally heave a sigh of relief. One of the key scenes of his new film Rang Rasiya that had come under the Censor Board’s scanner has been cleared. The scene, picturised on Nandana Sen involves frontal nudity, and though it has been allowed in the film it has been cut from the beginning credits.

Nandana tells us, “I’m not surprised by the decision at all. That scene forms the very core of the film. Rang Rasiya is itself about censorship of art. The political message as well as the emotional drama in our film revolves entirely around that particular scene, making it absolutely essential to the narrative. Everyone who has seen the film has commented to us about how the scene complements the film, so why would the censor board think any differently?

While scrutinizing the film, 'Rang Rasiya', the censor board saw that in a particular scene Nandana Sen's breast could easily be seen. Immediately after seeing that scene the censor board sent a notice to Ketan Mehta.

Ketan Mehta did confirm the news but said that the scene is very long and if cut by the censor board they will have to re-do it all over again.

Rang Rasiya stars Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen as leads and is already certified as an 'A' Grade film.
