In 1950's South Africa, apartheid is just beginning.
Free-spirited Amina has broken all the rules of her own conventional Indian community in South Africa by running a café, a safe haven of laughter, music and home-cooked food; a ‘grey area’ for those who fall outside the strict ‘black and white’ rules of the apartheid-led government.
Free-spirited Amina has broken all the rules of her own conventional Indian community in South Africa by running a café, a safe haven of laughter, music and home-cooked food; a ‘grey area’ for those who fall outside the strict ‘black and white’ rules of the apartheid-led government.
Café regulars include Amina’s feisty waitress Doris, her gentle ‘Coloured’ business partner Jacob and the sparky White local postmistress Madeleine. Long accustomed to the racial barriers of the country and its new laws, Madeleine and Jacob nevertheless share a budding attraction.
Miriam, on the other hand, is a doting mother to her children and a demure and subservient wife to her chauvinistic, frustrated husband, Omar. Quietly intelligent, Miriam has never assumed that she may have choices in life.
When Miriam meets Amina, their unexpected attraction throws them both off balance. Although Miriam manages to subdue her fascination with unconventional Amina, she finds herself slowly inspired to confront familiar and familial constraints. Shortly after their encounter Miriam moves to an isolated life in the country, but even here apartheid is placing its cruel footprint on society, and these injustices bring the two women together again, cementing the basis of their growing feelings.
Meanwhile Jacob decides to pursue a love affair of his own and he and Madeleine begin a tentative, touching relationship. But the best intentions of both are overcome by practical challenges and indignities of simply spending time together.
Even the fearless Amina, faced with the strength of her feelings and with the reality of Miriam’s situation, starts doubting herself. And Miriam finds herself making some courageous choices that will change her own life forever.
Using the stunning South African landscape and jazz tunes of the time, The World Unseen explores a system that divides white from black and women from men, but one that might just allow an unexpected love to survive.

Censor board strikes again, boobs of Nandana sen are too hot to handle
Saturday, September 13, 2008
After cutting hot scene of Priyanka chopra from Fashion, censor board is at it again as they have chopped the hot boob slip scene of Nandana sen from the movie Rang rasiya as reported by Santabanta
Its not the first time that she has shown her boobs check out this scene I wonder how it got away from censor board's scissors
Yes, Nandana Sen's bosoms are revealed out. It was in a scene from Ketan Mehta's coming film, 'Rang Rasiya'.
For people who are already on the edge of their seat after reading this can silently calm down and get back to their seats because the censor board has already cut the scene saying it to be too revealing and eye-catchy for the Indian audience.
While scrutinizing the film, 'Rang Rasiya', the censor board saw that in a particular scene Nandana Sen's breast could easily be seen. Immediately after seeing that scene the censor board sent a notice to Ketan Mehta.
Ketan Mehta did confirm the news but said that the scene is very long and if cut by the censor board they will have to re-do it all over again.
Rang Rasiya stars Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen as leads and is already certified as an 'A' Grade film.

Tulip Joshi’s whistling talents
Friday, December 21, 2007
Actress Tulip Joshi is currently working for Rohit Jugraj’s ‘Superstar’ which is being made under the banner of ‘Shri Ashtavinayak Cinevision Ltd.’ The actress shocked one and all with the display of one of her hidden talents. For one scene of the film, Tulip was to emit a loud whistle. Petite as she looks, Rohit Jugraj assumed that she may not be able to do so and suggested she just pretend to whistle, and that would later on be dubbed. But to everyone’s suprprise, Tulip whistled so loudly and so well, that the take was okayed in shot one itself.
Tulip cheekily says, “Yeah everyone was quite surprised at hearing me whistle so well, like an experience roadside Romeo I guess. Haha! I have always whistled as well as any guy, sometimes better. It was loads of fun shooting that day I must say!”

Kangana Ranaut - Naked truth exposed
Tuesday, November 27, 2007
‘Phewww man… That’s cool!’ is the reaction doing rounds over the racy picture of actress Kangana Ranaut on the cover of Stardust. The photo on the cover of annual issue shows Kangana dressed in a body suit that gives the impression of nudity. On top of it, the headline says: ‘Naked Truth Exposed’. Though the image hasn’t kicked any controversy, it has certainly raised many eyebrows.
Well, the actress with ‘I don’t care a damn’ attitude is unmoved by all the fuss and was quoted saying, “What’s the big deal about the picture? Are any of my vital organs seen? I haven’t posed nude at all.”

Sonali Kulkarni goes bold in ‘Strangers’
Saturday, November 10, 2007
Sonali Kulkarni has always stayed away from glamour and unnecessary exposure in films. But now Sonali has dared to bare her back in Sahara One’s ‘Strangers’.
STRANGER is about the emotional turmoil, mind games and a shockingly devious plot that forms the crux of the emotional thriller starring Jimmy Shergill, Kay Kay Menon, Nandana Sen and Sonali Kulkarni. The film’s storyline revolves around the two men who meet in a train and plot to murder each other’s wife.
Director Anand Raj was apprehensive if Sonali would say yes to a semi-nude scene in the bath tub, but since the scene is an integral part of the film and Sonali being absolute professional, she agreed to do the scene stressing that the scene is not to add sleaze in the film.

Negar Khan Posing for a Norwegian Magazine
Tuesday, October 30, 2007
Apparently, Negar who grew up in Oslo, Norway, posed for a premier men’s magazine VI Menn (We Men) in the nude. Well, not completely but almost. The cover of the magazine has her wearing a g-string and that’s it.
Now that particular magazine is making the rounds of the Internet and tabloids in Mumbai have lapped up the story and flashed her pictures on the cover and inside. They even called the editor of the magazine in Oslo to confirm that the model was really Negar Khan. While the editor and the writer have both said yes, the lady herself is denying it. Apparently she’s been modeling since the age of 14 and has done all kinds of shoots, but never in the nude. Point is, for the actress who just made her debut in ‘Shaadi Ka Laddoo’, one wonders if these pics will go against her…
